EI Housewarming Party In Washington, DC

"Have you ever been at a house party with a concert of classic music on one floor and a live band on the other floor -- all at the same time!?... It's the first time for me..." said Peter G., one of the guests at EI Housewarming party. I think, that it summarizes the mood and the spirit of the January 31 social in DC that could be best described as a Homecoming party. EI had been "outsourcing" its parties for so long that it is a special to have a Home Party.

It started with a classical concert performed by a Alla Lowrie and her son Eugene, a graduate student of music in VA. It was an enchanting performance, a Housewarming present from the Lowries family. Charlie met Alla in Yaroslavl and they have been married since May 2005. Now they are my dear friends and their musical gift is highly appreciated.

Another musical Housewarming gift came from Alexander Paris, one of the founders of Club Arbat. Thank you Alex and Olga for your great performance at our party. It wouldn't be the same without you.

In the spirit of appreciation I would like to thank all of you, who joined us last Sunday, Jan. 31 in spite of the weather challenges, cancellations and rescheduling. Thank you and Spasibo!!! Now EI "Headquarters" in Washington is going to be the permanent home of all upcoming Saturday Club socials (except for special events, like Swimming Pool party or Beach Party)
